Marie is a writer, marketing communications coach, mom of three, entrepreneur, and a survivor. She is fascinated by people, specifically stories of grit, resilience, and connection, and she gathers those stories on her Finding Fertile Ground Podcast.

Marie was such a delight to have on the show.

Becoming a new mom is hard. Labor and delivery is such an emotional time as it is, let alone going into unexpected premature labor. And your baby going into the NICU? That is a recipe for difficult times. If you have ever been in a situation like that, I am so sorry. Truly. Something I loved that Marie learned and shared in this episode is “Every day is a gift.” As cliche as that is, it is true.

Especially with what’s going on right now, living during a world-wide pandemic, every day really is a gift. It is hard, and somedays it takes all you have just to get through. But know that you will. You can do this. Take a breath and keep going.

Whatever difficult times you go through, know that you are stronger than you think. You will get to the other side of this thing and you will be okay. You may not be great or wonderful, but you will be okay. And maybe someday you will be doing great.

Remember to give yourself the love and grace that you give others. Reach out when you need it. Ask for help. Get help.

And, as always, love yourself.
