In this episode I was able to talk to Julie Francom. She is a birth doula and is passionate about birth!

Her first birth ended up being a c-section, which was not what she imagined or planned on. She also realized later that it was a rather unnecessary c-section and the doctor who performed the surgery is nicknamed “The quilter.”

She had her children close together, and was hit very hard with postpartum depression. So much so that she planned out and set a day to take her life, because dying seemed like a better option than living.

If you are struggling with postpartum depression, please get help.
