075. Evie Lennon
We live in an overwhelmingly able-bodied and inaccessible world. Most of us really don’t have to think about getting around, having a job, feeling good most of the time, etc.
Those are things many people, myself included, take for granted. Being able to walk up a flight of stairs is a luxury, honestly. It’s not something everyone can do. Adjustments need to be made to make our world more accessible and equal. Because right now it’s not. Progress is being made, absolutely, but there’s still a long way to go.
If you have experience around chronic illness or disabilities or anything, I would love for you to share your story in the Scars We Share facebook group. It’s important to hear your stories so we can try to understand a little better and make changes. It’s when you get to know people and their struggles that connection is made. And when that connection is made, people care. When people care, they want to do something to help and push change forward.
So please, share your story.
