Caitlin Hall

Mother, Business Owner, Future Birth Worker

As a soon-to-be mother of two, Caitlin is dedicated to the support and empowerment of women during the birth process.

Labor and delivery. It’s a huge deal. A woman is at her most vulnerable and her most powerful during labor and delivery. For real. Listen to women. Give them the help and respect and medical care they deserve. For heaven’s sake!

Caitlin’s experience is, unfortunately, all too common. Especially in Utah. For women who are currently starting and growing their families, I highly encourage you to find a doctor that you are comfortable and happy with. If you don’t think you’re getting the care you need, go somewhere else. And arm yourself with knowledge. Do as much research as you can so that you know what’s going on and so you can stand up for yourself.

And outside of labor and delivery, if you don’t think your doctor is listening to you, find a different one. I know it is so hard to see different doctors and to start from scratch with each one. But if you’re not getting the care you need, then isn’t it worth the frustration until you find the person who listens to you and gives you the care you need?

It’s worth it. For real.

You deserve quality care and to be listened. You absolutely do. So make sure your health care providers are doing that.

If it’s a matter of insurance and you *can’t* go to a different provider, then you are going to have to advocate for yourself. Or find someone to help you advocate for YOU. Make a complaint. Do whatever you need to do in order to get the care you need.

Caitlin’s experiences are a perfect example of just how important it is to get the care you need and to have your care-givers actually listen and pay attention to your specific history. Advocate and push to get the care you need. Always.
