024. Sex is Meh.

Kaitlin talks about her experiences around being asexual, sometimes referred to as being “ace.” Asexuality is becoming more well known and understood, which is desperately needed. It’s not something new that is just cropping up, it is something that has been around, just not necessarily talked about as much. Which is why this episode is so important.
We live in such a sexual society. Everything is over sexualized. So just imagine how difficult it is for people who may not be interested in sex. That’s not to say that all asexual people hate sex, asexuality is a spectrum and is diverse, of course, but some people are not sexually attracted to anyone. In a society where sex and attraction is so emphasized, being asexual can be pretty difficult.
Kaitlyn is great and I hope you enjoy her story. If you are on the ace spectrum, know that you are perfect just the way you are.
