I realize that a lot of the women I have had on for this season are theatre people. What can I say? Since that’s what my BA is in, that’s a large part of my circle/network. Anywho!

Bryn is an absolute delight! She’s a fantastic actress and works at Evermore park in Utah as a knight. Yeah, that’s right, a knight! She’s pretty badass, no big deal.

In this episode we talked in depth about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. However, I think a lot of what we discussed deals with religion in general. When you are raised in a religion, it becomes part of who you are. It is so deeply ingrained that it completely changes the lens with which you see and interact with the world.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely something to be aware of. One of the main things I really hope you take away from this episode is that you should be kind and loving to everyone. Everyone. Whether in your religion, straddling the fence on your religion, or outside of it completely. Love everyone. In the beautiful, simple words of Lin Manuel Miranda, “Love is love is love.”

If you are having or have gone through a faith crisis, know that you are not alone. Not at all! If you want to chat with someone about it, feel free to reach out to me! If you didn’t already catch it from this episode, I love talking about this kind of stuff!

And if you want to hear more about my own struggles with religion, I’ve written two blog posts about it:

I want to take a break from the LDS Church

Is there room for me in the LDS Church?
